. Welcome to movingeast - Center for Martial Arts, Dance and Complementary Medicine in London.

movingeast is a growing interdisciplinary centre of excellence in Martial Arts and Contemporary Dance based in a tranquil, light-filled building in Hackney, north east London, with Tetsushinkan Dojo at its heart. Its core ethos is to facilitate the creative development and self-empowerment of individuals through reflection, inquiry, cooperation, respect and self-discipline. The centre is expanding its educational and leadership roles within the local community and operates nationally and internationally.

There are a number of dance events and courses run regularly at movingeast.

Movingeast is the home of Tetsushinkan Budojo teaching Aikido and Kashima Shinryu kenjutsu.

There are also regular weekly classes in Judo as well as children's classes.

There are several complementary medicine practitioners who have links with Movingeast offering Shiatsu, Chavutti Thirumal massage, Kriya breathing, Osteopathy and Feldenkrais therapies.

Paul Douglas is the artistic director of Movingeast.
